My Love for Pickleball
Hello, pickleball enthusiasts! My name is mike Fitzgerald, and I am the man behind RFPickleball. I’ve spent the last decade of my life entwined with this incredibly engaging sport. Pickleball is more than just a hobby to me, it’s a passion and a lifestyle that has shaped who I am today.
My journey with pickleball began in the summer of 2012. I was introduced to this exhilarating game during a family vacation, and it instantly struck a chord with me. The unique blend of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong elements, combined with the social aspect of the sport, drew me in.
Over the years, I’ve played countless matches, experimenting with different strategies, learning from each game, and most importantly, enjoying every moment on the court. Through the highs and lows, pickleball has always been a source of joy, a conduit for making new friendships, and a means to stay active and healthy.
My Journey as a Publisher
Parallel to my love for sports, I’ve always been intrigued by the power of words and the art of storytelling. With over 15 years of publishing experience, I’ve cultivated a knack for communicating complex ideas in a simple, engaging manner.
I initially ventured into the publishing industry with sports magazines, where I was able to combine my passion for sports and writing. I spent years honing my skills, understanding the ins and outs of the industry, and most importantly, learning how to connect with readers and deliver content that is both valuable and enjoyable.
This fusion of my love for pickleball and my proficiency in publishing is what led to the creation of RFPickleball. It was a way for me to share my personal experiences, the knowledge I’ve accumulated over the years, and the exciting world of pickleball with a wider audience.
